Donkeyjote 2018 – Garnacha (DO Navarra)
Info: The name not only makes a play on words with the literarian Spanish character Don Quijote de la Mancha, but it also refers to the heavy, thick, “donkey”-looking jacket that the locals wear to protect themselves from the freezing winter climate of the area.
Tasting notes: Ripe red berries (cranberries, red cherries), some black fruits (plum) and prunes, with a touch of earthiness. Light-ish bodied, juicy and very fresh.
Pairing: Charcuterie, grilled meats, stews or semi-cured cheese (like Manchego).
